Privacy Policy — Gongly
Last updated: 8 November 2026
Gongly ("the app") is an interval timer that lives entirely on your iPhone. There is no account to make, no server behind it and no network connection in it.
What stays on your phone
The presets you build, the sessions you run and your settings are written to a single file in the app's private storage. We never receive that file, and neither does anyone else.
What we collect
Nothing. Gongly has no sign-in, no analytics, no ads, no tracking and no third-party code that talks to the internet.
Sound and screen
The bell is a short sound file that ships inside the app. While a timer runs, the app asks iOS to keep the screen awake, and it lets go as soon as you pause or stop.
Reminders
If you switch on the training reminder, iOS asks if Gongly may send notifications. The reminder is scheduled on your phone and fires from your phone. Switch it off in the app, or in iOS Settings, whenever you like.
CSV export
When you export your sessions, the app builds the file on your phone and hands it to the iOS share sheet. You decide where it goes; the app does not send it anywhere itself.
Erasing your data
"Reset all data" in Settings wipes your presets, sessions and settings. Deleting the app removes everything as well.
Health
Gongly does not connect to the Health app and does not measure anything about your body. The timer offers general fitness guidance, not medical advice.
Children
Because the app collects no information at all, it collects none from children either.

If this policy ever changes, the new text will appear on this page with a fresh date.
